Drew also started getting his vaccinations today. This was a real struggle for me.. I spent a lot of time figuring out how to go about the whole vaccination process. He was supposed to get 6 different vaccinations today which, to me among other things, just seemed like lot for his little body to handle all at once. I know most people follow this schedule and their kids turn out fine, I guess I just wanted to take some extra precautions. So he ended up only getting 2 shots today and we go back in a month for 2 more. The others will happen a few more months down the road. The doctor gave me a big lecture though so we might be in the market for a new doctor soon.
Anyway.... Drew only cried for few minutes after getting the actual shots. I stupidly thought we were home free. We went home and he slept for a little while then we went for a walk. He had a big cryfest in the afternoon and nothing Justan nor I did seemed to console him. He finally cried himself to sleep and woke up in a better mood. I'm crossing my fingers that all is better tomorrow.

I think it's great you made a decision to not do all his shots at once. I agree 6 is a lot! I wouldn't want that many at once done on me, let alone my little baby. Stick to your instincts and take care. There are plenty of doctors out there and I'm sure you'll be able to find one that jives with your choices.
